OUR PHILOSOPHY

At My Child's Therapy, a pediatric outpatient facility, we take pride in providing the highest level of speech therapy services to our clients and their families. Our newest office, located in Plymouth Meeting, PA, services children from all over Montgomery County, including but not limited to, Norristown, King of Prussia, Blue Bell, and even parts of Philadelphia!  Speech therapy plays an essential role in the speech, language, cognitive, and social development of children of all ages and skill levels. Speech therapy addresses articulation, receptive language, expressive language, stuttering/fluency, vocal quality, feeding, swallowing, executive functioning, and pragmatic skills, to name a few. We have one main goal and that is to provide our children with a voice. Allowing children to have a voice gives them the confidence, self-esteem, and independence to be heard in all aspects of their everyday lives. We want them to not only feel heard, but listened to. We want to enable every child the ability to communicate, whether that be verbally, through use of sign language, an AAC device, and any other alternative method that suits the child best. We will exhaust every option in order to decipher which method works best for every individual child. We know that every child is different and therefore requires a unique treatment plan. We take pride in prioritizing the needs of each and every client that walks through our door to ensure his/her needs are met. Speech therapy helps prepare children for the major milestones and changes in their lives such as transitioning to school, making friends, and even getting their first job.  At My Child's Therapy, we love to build strong and long lasting relationships with our clients and their families because we want to be a part of this rewarding journey with them, every step of the way. There is an endless list of benefits to speech therapy but the heart warming success stories are the ones we value the most. Like when a parent tells us that their child said their first word at home after years without speaking, when a child properly uses their AAC device to communicate their wants and needs after months of frustration, when a child transitions from soft to solid foods for the first time, when a child looks their parent in the eye and signs "more", when a child makes their first friend at school, or when a parent finally hears "mom" or "dad". We strive to make these little moments happen for families. And that is what we are all about at My Child's Therapy!
